Amazing! Twitter Blue subscribers can now upload videos of up to 2 hours, announces Elon Musk

With the expansion of the previous 60-minute limit, Twitter‘s paid plan now enables subscribers to upload videos that are two hours long.

The company also changed the Twitter Blue page and announced that the 2GB to 8GB video file size restriction for paid users has been raised. Longer videos can now be uploaded through the iOS app as well as the web, which was previously the only option. The maximum quality for uploading remains 1080p in spite of these adjustments.

Twitter Blue subscribers can now upload videos of even longer duration of up to two hours or 8 GB, announced Elon Musk on Thursday night.

More on Twitter Blue

If you don’t have a Twitter Blue subscription, you can upload videos up to 140 seconds long from any platform, according to the Twitter Help Center.

“Use Twitter Blue to share more content with your followers. On Twitter.com and Twitter for iOS, subscribers can upload videos that are up to two hours long (1080p), it continues.

“On Android, subscribers can upload videos that are up to 10 minutes long.”

In a period of about two months, the business tycoon will add yet another modification to the platform.

Musk announced the company was working on deactivating all accounts that had been inactive for protracted periods of time on May 8.

Musk has stated his desire to use Twitter to create a “everything app” that will rival websites like YouTube. For this, he has released a number of tools geared toward creators, such as increasing the character limit for paid users to 10,000, adding support for text formatting, and reintroducing Super Follows as Subscriptions.

The organization underwent a significant management transition last week when Linda Yaccarino of NBCU was named CEO. Musk stated at the time of the announcement that he would continue in his role as chairman and take on duties such as “CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”

Alternative social networks like Mastodon, Bluesky, and Post.News are also a threat to Twitter. According to a recent Pew study, 60% of Twitter users in the United States took a break from the service for several weeks in the past year.

In 2022, Musk acquired the sizable social media network.

Musk announced on Monday that he would be concentrating on product design and new technology while introducing the platform’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino.

As executive chair and CTO, Musk said, “my role will transition to overseeing product, software, and sysops.”
