WHAT IS DARK MODE?
According to Wikipedia, Light-on-dark color scheme, also called black mode, dark mode, dark theme or night mode, is a color scheme that uses light-colored text, icons, and graphical user interface elements on a dark background and is often discussed in terms of computer user interface design and web design.
WHY SHOULD I ENABLE DARK MODE?
- Save Battery Energy Consumption most especially on OLED and AMOLED screen display.
- Gives Device an Amazing look.
- Reduces Eye Strains in Low Light Reading.
Though, Dark Mode also have bad effects like Astigmatism and some other medical effects.
It’s better you don’t use Dark Mode continuously. Use Dark Mode after Sunset or a Low Lighted area and Light Mode after Sunrise or a well Lighted Environment.
HOW TO ENABLE DARK MODE.
ENABLE DARK MODE ON ANDROID.
Dark Mode started coming into place from Android 9 (Pie) Version, but in some phones that were introduced early after the release of Android Pie did not have while some had but are to be enabled from Developer Mode.
Enabling Dark Mode from Developer Option.
You would first need to enable developer Mode which can be done by Following the line of process below.
Settings > About Phone (Can be found in System Settings in some devices) > Tap on the build Number three times > Input your Password, PIN or Pattern. Now You are a developer.
Enabling Dark Mode Now.
Developer Option (Can be found in System Settings on few devices) > Select Night Mode among the first Category of Settings (Choose either Always on, On or Off).
If You Could not find Night Mode there then follow the default method.
Enabling Dark Mode from Appearance Settings.
This is the Simple and most common method on how to enable dark mode on Android. Follow the steps below.
Settings > Display > Select Dark Theme.
Alternatively, Just pull down the notification bar and select Dark Mode or Theme.
ENABLE DARK MODE ON IPHONE.
According to Apple, In iOS 13.0 and later, people can choose to adopt a dark system-wide appearance called Dark Mode.
Follow the Procedure to Enable on iOS. Settings > Display & Brightness and select Dark Mode.
Enabling Dark Mode based on Time based, Automatically Turns on Dark Mode at Sunset and turns off at Sunrise.
ENABLE DARK MODE ON WINDOWS.
This Dark Mode works on Windows 10 as I have not tested it older versions.
Click the Windows icon > Settings > Appearance > Display > Select Dark Theme for Stand by App Mode.
Dark Mode might not work on Some Apps by default as it has to enabled through the app. Examples are Facebook, Twitter, Messenger, Messaging Apps, Chrome and many others.
If you couldn’t enable Dark Mode on your device that means you are using an older version of supported devices.
